Introduction

Hello World.

This is my first post on my new blog. The purpose of the blog is to begin to catalogue the work that I do as well as ideas, techniques and interesting tidbits about sound design and mixing for film and television.

I’ll begin by quickly summarizing my career up to this point.

I began my career in audio as a musician and recording engineer. My interest in film sound led me to a job as a re-recording mixer at Sharpe Sound Studios in Vancouver.

After approximately 8 years of working there, I decided to go freelance to not only work independently as a mixer, but to also explore my passion for sound design. I quickly gained a loyal client base and have been steadily working on film and television projects ever since. I split my time between working in my personal project studio and mixing at facilities like Post Modern Sound.

Currently I am mixing the series R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour, which airs in the US and Canada. I’ve also recently completed work on 2 documentaries that screened at the DOXA Festival 2012; Coast Modern and Do You Really Want To Know.
